A New Cohort is Announced to Prepare the Next Generation with Computing and Cybersecurity Skills

CSforALL and the United States Marine Corps JROTC announce a new national cohort of four schools

MCJROTC is a partner in education with over 250 secondary schools throughout the United States, Guam and Japan. Partnering with CSforAll is a great opportunity for MCJROTC to help our host schools provide critical skills not only to MCJROTC students (cadets) but to the entire student body,” said Paul Jornet , Operations & Instructional Support Branch Manager, Marine Corps JROTC.

“John C. Fremont High is excited to offer AP Computer Science this coming school year,” said Precious Hoback, Assistant Principal, John C. Fremont High School. “We will be able to link the importance of computer programming literacy with the ever-expanding field of cyber-security and robotics, both in the workplace and in government. We expand opportunities to “Find a Path or Make One!”

“We must continue to address and bridge the CS education access gap at Junior ROTC schools,’’ said Tina Boyle Whyte, CSforALL Project Director, JROTC-CS. “The new 2022 Marines JROTC-CS Cohort will prepare high schools with the tools and connections to build AP computer science principles and cybersecurity programs for ALL students (cadets) and the entire student body.”
